Ok first up, a confession, we’re 100% Spartan converts here at Talon Gear, but we’re constantly being asked by your guests and customers about which Spartan Bipod they should pick. So here’s a brief guide to the choices.

Spartan Precision Equipment’s bipod collection includes four specialized models, each tailored to a different shooting applications. Whether you’re after simplicity, agility, or rock-solid long range stability, this guide will help you make the right choice.

Of course.. you can always give us a bell and we’ll talk you through them too!

Overview of Spartan Bipods

  • Javelin Series: Ultralight and robust, weighing just 4.6 oz, Javelin bipods are the ideal choice for hunters needing quick setup and teardown. With cant and traverse functions, this model is built to travel with you on backcountry pursuits.
  • Springbok: For shooters needing rapid repositioning, Springbok bipods feature a flexible head and adjustable height for sitting or kneeling shots. The design is optimized for silent, fluid movements over challenging terrain like snow or brush.
  • Valhalla: Purpose-built for long-range accuracy, the Valhalla is a stable and precise bipod that meets the demands of precision shooters. This model’s wide stance and low profile create a solid platform for steady shots at extended ranges.
  • Vidarr: Combining competition-grade performance with a lightweight design, Vidarr bipods can be quickly attached or stowed. Their versatility and secure Disc-Lok system make them a favorite for both tactical and competitive shooters.

Shared Features

  • Interchangeable Legs: Each bipod in the Spartan line includes a modular M14x1.5 leg design, allowing legs to be swapped or adjusted based on terrain.
  • Durable Materials: Every bipod is built from premium carbon fiber and CNC-machined 7075 aluminum, ensuring both lightweight construction and corrosion resistance.
  • Enhanced Grip and Stability: All legs are equipped with tungsten carbide tips and synthetic boots, giving you solid footing on diverse surfaces.
  • Scope Leveling Capability: With at least 10° of cant, each model helps level your scope on uneven ground.

Key Differences

  • Attachment Types: Javelin and Springbok models use the MagnaSwitch™ system for easy attachment with Spartan’s Classic adapters, while Valhalla is fitted for Picatinny or M-Lok rails, and Vidarr uses Disc-Lok for rapid deployment.
  • Body Composition: While Javelin, Valhalla, and Vidarr bipods feature CNC-machined aluminum, Springbok uses a silicone body with internal steel wire for added flexibility.
  • Folding and Storage: Javelin and Springbok models detach when not needed, while Valhalla and Vidarr can fold down directly on the rifle.
  • Leg Angles and Adjustability: Javelin and Springbok have a single-angle setting, with Springbok adding flexibility through its rubber head. Valhalla offers five leg angle options, and Vidarr has four.
  • Special Features by Model: The entry-level Javelin Lite includes fixed-height legs, while the Javelin Pro Hunt Tac and Valhalla models include spring-assisted Tac Legs for quick height adjustments.
  • Traverse Options: Javelin and Springbok offer a 30° traverse, while Valhalla and Vidarr are optimized for maximum stability, foregoing traverse.
